Olympics 2012 ...

Atlast, London won the bid for Olympics to be held in A.D. 2012. Not sure about what they offered or promised, but the prime contender was Paris. The list of contenders included cities like Moscow, NewYork, Spain etc. They were eliminated in the subsequent rounds of voting. Atlast, Londer over-hauled Paris and emerged as the winner. China didn't participate because Beizing will be hosting 2008 games.

Dissapointed to find that NewDelhi never contended. Newspapers, about Bharath, boast of a booming economy and would-be super power. Recent reports stated that India's GDP surpassed that of Germany and is contributing to 5.9% of World GDP. Then, why do we take a backseat in such issues ? Dont we realize the commercial gains of hosting games. Why donot we foresee the advantages of having international relations. Anyways, the message is very clear, "we are still a poor nation". Hopefully, NewDelhi will be a venue for the Olympics atleast once by A.D. 2112. Jai Hind.

Yes, another one joining the club. Just liked to fiddle with the comp whenever i felt like. The previous one was for more formal (serious) thoughts.
